Loke Australian shepherd puppy doing some tricks. Clicker training

This is almost everything Loke knows so far. =) Still using treats pretty often to keep him interested but we're rising criteria. His "sit pretty" is still rather unbalanced but I guess that's ok when you're a puppy. ;P I am clicking him even if you can't hear it. http://cafenaive.blogspot.com/ For those of you who wants to try and read my blog (it's in Swedish): http://free-translation.imtranslator.net/default.asp?ldr=sv_en&loc=en It's a good translator but things will always get lost in translation. ;) You'll have to fill in the blanks yourself and think logically. australian shepherd clicker clicker training shepherd australian klicker klickerträning dog training dog tricks obedience canine freestyle

Silivr1 @3Mudbone1 Is there anyone here that has said anything about them not being an American breed? And on what grounds can you call an entire country of people for idiots? I really don't see any reason for you being hostile and rude here, it's very immature. 09/05/2011 - 21:49:02
3Mudbone1 Australisn Shepherds are an AMERICAN breed. (The original American cowboy dog. Who cares what the idiots in sweden do! 09/05/2011 - 21:16:25
3Mudbone1 @SnappinIntoSlimJimz That is FALSE! I breed Australian Shepherds. PURE BRED! And they all are born with tails. I have them docked before they are three days old. They look better without tails. 09/05/2011 - 21:14:54

503phillies I love australian sheperds. When I grow up I am going to get one. 03/23/2011 - 23:20:54
Silivr1 @MrAshleighoutlaw I hardly use voice commands/cues. The "command" for walking between my legs is that I put my hands behind my back like I do in the video. I don't say anything. Then he follows me until I give a release cue or we do another trick. If you're just about to teach your dog a trick, you don't really need to have the cue figured out yet. You want the dog to execute the trick well before you put it on cue. =) 03/04/2011 - 23:09:04
MrAshleighoutlaw I wish I could hear the commands you're giving. I want to teach my boy to walk between my legs and weave around them but I can't think of what command to give 03/04/2011 - 18:01:11
Silivr1 @lissamiss I started training Loke as soon as i got him. =) (He was 9 weeks old then). Puppies are VERY easy to train and learn fast. I would definitely recommend someone getting a puppy to start training right away. Especially training the puppy to be relaxed in different environments, walk on different kinds of floor, ride the bus etc. As long as you keep training sessions short and are sensitive to your puppie's signals, you are building really strong bonds when training together. 02/15/2011 - 18:35:07
lissamiss wow...17 WEEKS?? Is there such thing as TOO early to start training a puppy tricks? Or is Loke just ridiculously smart? :P 02/15/2011 - 06:13:22
Silivr1 @TheSarcasticSmoothie Hehe, I've never taken Loke to the groomer and have never cut his hair. =) He's so young in this video, so the coat isn't very long yet. It's much longer in more recent videos. ;) 02/13/2011 - 21:34:28
TheSarcasticSmoothie hey i love your dog he is very handsome what what do you tell your groomer when u get his hair cut.... becasue most australian shepherd have such long hair i just dont know what to say to the groomer ... thanks 02/13/2011 - 19:52:10
Silivr1 @TheJulchen1995 Loke is 2 years old now. When we filmed this he was about 17 weeks old I think. 02/12/2011 - 20:05:29

dualpaints He's cute! Aussies can be born with OR without tails... It depends on their breeding. I know my friend breeds them. 01/11/2011 - 07:19:49
