Well done, you speak so well.
I can't wait to try this on my dogs, one at a time at first of course lol. |

Thanks for being dog friendly ! And after 10 years of using it I vouch for the succesfulness. BUT: with a renowned puller you need to practice at home and I prefer to give it a cue, so it becomes "walking on cue" for short intervalls. Otherwise handler and dog tend to loose patience and get annoyed.
My experience. |

@untamedxyouth
Hi there
I'm using food as reinforcement for 10 years now. Normal kibble, according to the dogs size. Special Treat for special purposes. Your voice and throwing treat or run and giving it enhances the value of the treat.

I have a general question for anyone -- is there a point where you are giving your dog too many treats? I am getting my first pup in 7 weeks and emily's videos are soooo helpful.. but how many treats can you give a dog in a day before they may become sick or just fat! (sorry if i sound ignorant to the subject, i kind of am!) |

I have never had a dog that pulled before (Lucky I guess!) but we just adopted a 1 yr old basenji/lab mix & the pulling is horrid. Thanks for the great tips. I am going to start them this afternoon. |

Never had one. Chihuahua's are still dogs with attitude, just in tiny bodies. Bizarrely my GSD doesn't bark! |

@SportsRx have you ever had a chihuahua because they are harder to train not to pull. I also have a German shepard that pulled like a moron but after a few days and a few times saying "NO" he learns to stop, but with my chihuahua I have to deal with people barking at him because he's a rat with a big voice. I'm gonna try this tip tomarrow and see If works, and see that the four years of barking is this easy to fix. ^_^ |

Would be better if the vid was demo'd with a BIG dog that pulls like a horse. A teeny chiuaua is hardly a challenge! Try a GSD. If I walked up and down outside my house with my dog rather than go where we usually walk, he'd go nuts! |

thanks so much, I will try this with my 2 dogs, but individually. I only walked them when the sun went down, because THEY were taking me for a fast walk/run, and it was embarrassing! |

Get a higher value treat. I had to use cooked chicken if I wanted my dog to pay attention to me in areas where looking around/pulling was more valuable than the old standard treat. |

What happens if they like the treat (at home) and eats it but when walking outside, they simply ignore all treats? |

Thank you very much. Your videos are amazing! Just finished my first session with walking with my dog and this seems to be working quite efficiently. I'm not using any clicker though and still works wonders!. |

THANKS! i have a pit bull/ lab mix, and no one wants to take him for walks because he always drags the person (N for a 65 pound dog he is mighty strong!). I will try this with some treats tomorrow. |

I have seen many tips for walking dogs and this one is the BEST you are awsome and thank you. I agree with everything you are saying no harsh methods no Zap collars but building a stronger bond with you and the dog thanks |
