My Akita looks a lot like yours. He is 10 years old and I just might have to give him up. I cry everyday over this, it is killing me. No one wants to rent to people with Akita's because they are on the restricted breed list. |

I love your beautiful Akita. We have always had at least two dogs and have had many different breeds over the years. But our all time soul mate was our black and white Akita, Andy, for 14 years and he was the very best. It took me several years to get over our loss when he died. We now have a two-year-old long haired Akita who is also wonderful....I love the breed. But I still miss Andy.....there is something so special about these wonderful dogs. |

I have an Akita that is 10 years old and I was told that he was old. I was told that they only live to be 10 to 12 years. Although I was always working and could never really socialize him, he is a good dog and he gets along with the cats and my other dog. I love him to death. When he passes away, I know I am going to cry like a baby |

@belly3 you know its not just akitas,all dog breeds are like that,i had an akita but at the moment i have a cavalier king charles spaniel,and i can read her mind n she can read my mind,basically we can hear each others thinking!she is my soul mate at a high level,almost like a twin flame!! |
